Product Description

A comprehensive look at the fascinating and complex subject of ethics in business that is both theoretically rich and engaging.

Fisher and Lovell focus on developing ethical awareness and give as much importance to individual conscience at work as they do to socially responsible behaviour at the corporate level and within the global business world.

Business Ethics and Values is suitable for any Business related Ethics, Sustainability or Corporate Social Responsibility course at an upper level undergraduate or Masters level.

From the Back Cover

Fisher and Lovell, Business Ethics and Values 3rd edition

Q      How do corporate social responsibilities and good or bad corporate practice impact on business success in a global economy?

Q      Are individuals responsible for the ethical outcomes of companies’ actions, or are companies themselves responsible?

Q      How do you determine what course of action has the best ethical outcome for any given business situation?

Fisher and Lovell offer the reader a comprehensive introduction to the ideas and complexities of the subject of ethics in the contemporary business world whilst making it relevant to today’s business students through the inclusion of frequent interesting examples and activities that put the reader in a position where ethical questions must be considered and debated.

This third edition offers increased coverage of sustainability and more chances for illustration and discussion of ethics in the messy day to day practicalities of modern business through:

  • two new longer case studies in the final chapter that integrate ideas and issues from the whole book and provide an opportunity to explore how different perspectives and multiple problems interconnect in real life situations.
  • new Video Clips of interviews with Managers from companies around the world who discuss issues of ethical bearing in their business.
  • new Podcasts that discuss how issues in the news can be viewed from an ethical standpoint.

All freely available with purchase of the book at www.pearsoned.co.uk/fisherlovell

Format:Paperback
This book, although not the easiest I've read, contains enough information to get you started in the area of business ethics. It can be a little tiresome to read, but if you can pick out the relevant points it's a worthwhile book to own.
