Product Description

This inexpensive little accessory is a must have item if you want to use your binoculars for viewing and searching for game or Stars / planets etc in the night sky. Simply attach the adapter to your tripod, either by using the quick-attach tapered lug or the std tripod screw, screw the adapter onto your binoculars and you have hands free holding for rock steady fatigue free viewing. Many binoculars have a socket for the 1/4 inch diameter x 20 TPI thread on the front end of the hinge between the two cylinders. You might not have even noticed or know about it as it usually comes from the manufacturer plugged with a plastic/metal threaded cap. Check to see if yours have the threaded hole, if they do you are in business. Find yourself a comfortable seat in your selected viewing area, adjust the tripod legs and swivel assembly on top of the tripod for comfortable viewing, and you can watch / search for hours. See fine detail that that slight shaking of hand holding your binoculars forbids. For example you can see the 4 moons of Jupiter through a rock steady 7x magnification binocular. Try looking at Jupiter hand holding your binocular then attach it to your tripod.

A good strong adaptor at an excellent price, bought specifically for my Bushnell Elite Binoculars. there is not really a lot more that I can say.

Ok so its a bit fiddly to screw onto your binoculars if you have huge mits like mine.
However this product is great at adding more versatility to your binos.
I've used mine for looking at the moon, great to see it with no shakes, ooohhh those craters !

Not worth the extra 14 April 2011
I bought this as a 'name' product for my Bushnell binoculars. Although it fits, it's made of plastic and feels cheap. The screw doesn't turn easily and feels like it's jamming all the time.

I could've bought something as good much cheaper.
