About Roof Prism Binoculars:
The prism system of a binocular reduces the size needed to contain a long optical path and turns what would be an upside-down image right-side-up. In roof prism binoculars, the prisms overlap closely, allowing the objective lenses to line up directly with the eyepiece. The result is a slim, streamlined shape in which the lenses and prisms are in a straight line. Roof prism binoculars are less bulky and more rugged than an equivalent porro model.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bushnell 10 X 25 Powerview binoculars 30 Jun 2011
I already own a pair of Bushnell Natureview 8 x 42 binoculars and as a very keen birder these are perfect for me but I have been looking for a second smaller lightweight travel pair for some time now.I thought that I would take a chance on these Bushnell Powerview 10 x 25 and I have to say that for the price they are excellent value for money. Crystal clear vision, extremely close focus and lightweight, small enough for a pocket or handbag.Fold down eyecups, essential for spec wearers, well made carrying case and the quality is what you would expect from such a respected name. The only teeny downside is the neck strap, which is actually a cord but apart from that ,which is easy enough to get used to there is no other criticism whatsoever.I would thoroughly recommend Bushnell Powerview 10 x 25 binoculars.

3.0 out of 5 stars An unlucky one? 3 Oct 2011

Well got them as a present for my mother, I had a little look at them before handing them over. I thought wow what a bargain, very sturdy well made and nice and clear to look through. The first time she put them round her neck the small metal part that holds the string came out and now wont go back in.

Not very impressed and nor is she! Would not buy them again in my eyes if your going to take the time to make something do it properly or don't bother. However they did withstand the drop from nearly head height when the part came off so they are quite sturdy in that respect.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as previous Bushnells
The moveable eyepiece to correct for vision doesnt have enough adjustment. The main focus wheel does not move smoothly so difficult to focus. Poor quality .
