1.0 out of 5 stars Take it back! 22 Dec 2006
Not impressed - within a day of receiving this item my problems started. There are too many to mention here but if you look on the digitalspy website (dot co dot uk) you will find plenty of information there.

Basically the Bush digibox uses the same electronics as the infamous "Tevion" and "Technosonic" products recently sold by Aldi, and have been full of bugs. What's worse is that the Bush digibox software is 12 months behind these, so it's really in the dark ages and plagued with problems. Again, look on the above site and search for Tevion or Technosonic and you'll see the scale of the problem.

This Bush digibox really isn't fit for purpose - I phoned Bush customer services today and was told they no longer support this product and futher software transmissions will not be forthcoming. Mine is heading back to Amazon as soon as I have boxed it back up! They really shouldn't be selling something that is not up to the job. Honestly, spend a little extra and get a better brand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great machine but problems soon arose 23 Dec 2006
Verified Purchase
I initally thought this was a great machine but then ended up sending it back for a refund within a week of purchase.

The machine developed a fault of stating there was 'No signal' and needed to be rebooted to get it working again. After it did this 3 times i sent it back to Amazon and am now awaiting a refund.

Amazon would let me edit my initally positive review BUT not change the number of stars. I would now give it one star.

UPDATE - Have now bought a 160gb HUMAX box from AMazon which is absolutely fantastic. I really can't recommend it highly enough. It has transformed the way we watch TV. IT is expensive (180) but if you can aford it i would highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Twin Tuner Recorder for 74.99 2 Jan 2007
I bought the Bush Digital TV Recorder just before christmas and must say i have been impressed with the system so far. All the menus are easy to use, set-up was very simple and i like the EPG as anyy program can be recorded by directly selecting it from the EPG. The design is execellent and will fit nicely with any silver TVS, the front mirror panel really makes the box stand out.

I have only had a very few problems such as the box freezing now and then which can be solved by switching the box off and then turning it on. However, these problems are associated with nearly every freeview box due to their sensitivety to other electronic devices.

For 74.99 i think this item was a bargain considering the fact most digital freeview recorders with a Twin Tuner don't come cheap. Look around and you'll probably find a 40GB Digifusion Twin Tuner box for a similar price although it will probaby be Grade B Stock which has been refurbished.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bush IDPVR802B 20 Dec 2006

I have had the Bush IDPVR802B for a couple of weeks now, and like any new item, it takes a bit of getting used too. But once I got to grips with the functions, it was simplicity itself. It is a nice looking machine, easy to use, quite in operation, excellent value for money, the only draw back I found was that the menu button is to small and away from other functions related to it, but again, once you are used to it ! So far it has done everything it says it can do without any problems, and in my opinion, worth the 5 stars I have given it. I have had alot of Bush products in the past that have been good, and as with this item, so far, so good.
