Description
For their first album with new permanent vocalist Myke Terry, Bury Your Dead have gone back to bludgeoning basics, beginning with, but not limited to, the album's title. Opening track "Sympathy Orchestra" is pummeling sheet metal that amply displays Terry's harsh, bellowed vocals, and "Womb Disease" gouges away on barbed, springy bass while the guitars scrape and grind. Their name has never been more appropriate, asthe precise, rhythmic riffs sound like they could be digging in hard, frozen earth. BURY YOUR DEAD is a fresh start forthe band, and there's obviously little rust on their brutally efficient machine.
