A friend of mine bought this several years back in Hawaii, and relied on it for all sorts, cuts, scrapes, bruises, bites and stings. Her daughter had terrible eczema when younger and if an area became really inflammed or the skin broken would use this and it appeared to settle down and heal very quickly. I was on holiday with my friend, whilst walking barefooted I stood on a wasp! Very painful I can tell you. I applied her 'magic' ointment and it was soothed within minutes of application. I have since purchased my own 'magic' ointment. If any of my children get a cut or scrape they will always ask for 'Dr Burt's' and it soothes them quickly too. Don't be put off by the dark green colour it smells fabulous - like lavender. Would recommend.
I've never written a review about anything before but this one is too amazing to let pass! I've used this for a while for stings, bites etc and found it better than anything else I've ever used but I have now found it's secret best use!! My 2 year has chicken pox and woke me every 2 hours last night as she was so itchy - I kept applying the traditional calamine which she kept telling me 'doesn't really help' so after a complete lack of sleep this morning thought of this res-q ointment and...wow! My daughter actually said 'it feels better thank-you'!! and is now fast asleep! Can't seem to find it in any local shops so v v grateful I can get it here!

Natural Healing in No Time

I got a nasty cut on my arm one week prior to knee surgery, and I was worried about the risk of infection. I remembered the Burt's Bee's Res-Q ointment I'd purchased recently, and began applying it several times a day to the cut and applying a Band-Aid. Five or six days later when it came time for my surgery, the cut was fully closed and healing well. I'm not sure the cut healed any faster than if I'd put a topical neosporin/bacitracin ointment on it, but it was reasaurring to know the Burt's Bees ointment was more natural and probably more gentle. My only complaint (and thus the 4 star rating) is the ointment tends to leave a green residue on clothing, so I find I have to wear a Band-Aid if I use it in a location (such as upper arm or knee) that will have clothing brushing up against it.

A must-have in the medicine chest

Not only does this heal minor cuts and other abrasions, it seems to reduce some of the scarring, at least, it did for me. I had a cut on my elbow that was sealed over, and this did wonders to reduce the discoloration and scar to a minimum. Plus, it smells wonderful and feels great. Works as a cuticle cream or fix for a hangnail as well.

THE BEST!

I love this stuff. I had bad cold and my nose was red and hurt some much. But I put on the burt bees and my nose felt soooo much better.
