Enchanting and funny,

I bought this on the strength of wanting to have a recording of the two piano pieces and it is just wonderful, the elegaic pieces are deeply moving and the funny songs are delightful.

Elfman has very much returned to the song writing style he used on A Nightmare Before Christmas with Corpse Bride's songs, and on one track - Tears to Shreds - matches it so closely it's hard to tell them apart.However, as a huge fan of Elfman's work on Nightmare and his other Burton projects I can forgive a little familiarity to be allowed to return to his magical world once more. Recommended, but don't expect any new ground to be broken.

I really loved the music in the film and it was great to get them on the soundtrack. Really well written by Tim Burton and performed brilliantly by the cast.
