Good quality boot 29 Jan 2012
Length: 1:29 Mins
Please see my video showing how the laces work.

I rode in these today and I have to say they are really comfortable, gave me control and didn't cause pins and needles at any point.

These boots have an inner boot which you tighten up before then tightening the the outer nylon laces (of which there are two, a left and a right)

The Left tightens the lower zone - your toes and lower foot.
The Right tightens the upper zone - your ancle, and calf/lower leg.

Each cord has a rubber cable/hand protector, which comes in handy when you want it really tight, you can put all your fingers through and really tug without the cable digging in to your hands. Once your tight you simply push the rubber bits into pre-designed pockets on each side of the boot, and push the excess cord into the top of the boot.

I've previously used a twist style cable system boot which didn't give me separate top/bottom control, and laces are a pain, as you can't keep them tight easily and they always burn my hands when tightening. I think this is well designed, and think for the price they are a good value quality boot.
