I have had dogs all my life - 6 Labradors and counting... We've always fed them what we thought were good quality brands and, to be honest, not noticed any real issues. Then I found Burns.

You'll know that if you're dog is ever off colour and not eating, the vet says to feed them things like boiled rice, chicken etc. Well that's what this is. You open the pouch and there's no yucky smell, and you can actually tell what's in it. Mainly rice and grains, bits of carrot, and either chicken, lamb or egg. I can buy it in my local garden centre and I've seen it in pets at home, but price is way better on subscribe and save - I hope they don't stop stocking it!

The dog adores it. If we ever run out and I put something different in his bowl he looks at me like I've forgotten something, with those big baleful eyes. Of course he'll eat anything, he's a Labrador after all, but he'd rather have his Burns! Most importantly he is healthier. His coat had a tendency to be a bit dry, so I often gave him egg or sardines in his food. Also he seemed to be permanently moulting, but now he just moults when he's supposed to! His digestion is also much improved. If you combine it with their dry food range as we do it goes much further and costs a little less too. So many people have commented on how good he looks that I think I'm going to ask Burns for commission as at least 5 people I know now use nothing else, and I know they've told their friends too!

The Dog has always been a fussy eater. I have bought, & she has wasted, many different varieties. For a few weeks now I've been feeding her a mixture of Burns moist food & Burns kibble. It must be very tasty indeed, as she will wait for it to be put down & then eat it all, straight away - amazing!
Another point in Penlan's favour is that it isn't too smelly, unlike a lot of moist foods.

I've switched two dogs to Burns recently. One a growing pup, the other a 7 year old with some health problems and advised a low protein diet. This food seems to fit the bill. They both like it. It looks and smells fresh, rather than the often slightly 'off' odour that accompanies many mainstream foods.

I supplement each meal with kibble or Burns meal. It's working well. There's no waste and I'm happy that they're eating high quality protein without additives and, more importantly, no derivatives. Take a look at the supermarket stuff; read the label...do you want your dog's protein content to be sourced from contaminated meat, or hoof, toenail and other un digestible so called protein? I don't.

Burns is a top class company, their dog food is very high quality without unnessesry chemicals and preservatives. My two are regularly complemented on their healthy coats and clear bright eyes. Burns are also very environmentally conscious. They farm organically and rear their own animals and grow the vegetables contained in the food. They have won an award for running their farm sustainably by using solar power, rain harvesting and for recycling pretty much every material they use. They also only use eco friendly, cruelty free cleaning products. For me, they are one of the best companies out there. I'd give them 10/10 if I could.

This is the best dog food ever .My dogs are 13yrs and 6mnths the elder has kidney and liver problems and has to have a good diet .Since using Burns food he is full of energy healthy stomach and a beautiful shiny coat. The other dog is a full on puppy but again this food has been fully digestible for such a young dog. Choosing the multi pack gives them a variety. This food is more expensive but worth every penny .We have had over fifteen dogs over the years so we feel we seen and used a lots of different dog foods

My dog clearly adores this food as she wolfs down the lot, licks the bowl clean and pushes it around the floor to make sure she didn't miss any! Already fed on Burns Dry (mini bites), I was surprised at the difference in her reaction to the wet food she was on previously. She definitely prefers the meat flavours to egg, so I may buy those and not this mixed pack in future.
She only has about 30g per meal so one pack lasts for days which makes it good value compared to other food that she needs more of.

Ok so Labradors would eat anything quite happily but it's more the effect on their little tummies that influence me to buy this food. I only feed wet food once a week as a treat. The rest of the time they get goat milk, sardines, mackerel, roast chicken, fruit and veg so don't feel too bad for them! I have tried other expensive brands of wet dog food like Arden grange, natures diet, James well beloved but it gives them loose stools, wind and causes distress but Burns is the only food that doesn't hurt them. I use the dry food daily and have only had problems when I tried to introduce more expensive brands to their diet. I (well the fuzzy little ones) have decided that Burns is the best food for my girls.

This food is first class and my miniature Yorkshire Terrier (weighing just 3kg) is thriving on it. My only problem with it is that the packs are too big and my dog is a very fussy eater. So even if I put the remainder in the fridge overnight or even freeze it as the company recommended, she won't eat it on the second day. This means quite a bit is wasted but in my opinion it is worth it to see her so well and enjoying her food so much. She does prefer the lamb and chicken varieties to the egg one but always eat it after a bit of persuasion.

I am sure the pack size would not be a problem with a larger or less fussy dog! Great product.
