If you're here, you've probably already seen Burnistoun, therefore you already know how great it is. So no need to hesitate, just buy the DVD box-set already, and relive those beautifully hilarious moments again. If you're new, buy it anyways; its definitely one of the best sketch-shows aired on TV in the past 10 years, if not THE best. Genius, Laugh-out-loud and Scottish are the 3 best ways to describe this piece of comedic art; so buy it...now. :)

I came across the first series of this by chance when looking for some comedy to watch on the iPlayer a few years ago and have been a fan since. One of the funniest comedy series I've seen in a while, shocking that the BBC chose not to show tall three series nationally and was just a hidden treasure left for the Scots to enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Squirrel in a bunnet 1 April 2014

By Series 3 these two were definitely onto something. A recurring theme is the innate shyness/self consciousness of Scottish men which produces the kind of housebound legend that is Jolly Boy John. Tears streaming down my face funny. Other highlights for me include; the drunk who destroys the Wallace & Grommit model, the quality polis maceing one another and the remote controlled ice cream man. Magic. It might not be all great but the best bits are memorable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, hilarious 1 April 2014

I only came to Burnistoun recently but I'm so glad I did. It cheered me up no end and I am now a keen fan of everything these two do. Iain Connell and Robert Florence are clearly two very talented and funny men and you should keep an eye out for anything they do. I love Burnistoun. It has so many different and unusual characters, and so you don't get bored seeing the same ones all the time, but they vary the sketches over the 3 series. There are some favourites that pop up regularly such as the two friends who always end up shouting at each other, and Walter and Paul the brothers in the ice cream van. Connell and Florence look amazing dressed up as the different people and you will I am sure love them as much as I do. Good clean fun, most of it very silly but all of it daft and funny.

Love from Malaysia for this series! Even though I watched this by sitting on the chair the right way round, I am still serious when I said I totally enjoyed the quality polis and the ice cream boys. This series really reminded me of my glory days* in Glasgow! Way to go, lads!
