I have just completed this book, my heart is pounding, my palms are clammy, and I am so addicted I need another fix.

This book is one adrenaline punch after another. It's absolutely brilliant. Wow, you really can get adrenaline in a book. I'm so tense my stomach is trying to cravat my throat.

In short, if you love action packed killers for hire, with betrayal, backstabbing, and being hunted, this is a book that will grip your eyeballs wide open and torture you with exquisite nine-mil's, shotguns, assumed identities and taking out bad guys over morning breakfast with your steak knife.

It outstrips any action book I've ever read (and that includes Ian Flemming and master Bagley)

The fact that the ladies are bad-ass, and the men are ruthless and gorgeous just adds to the appeal of this thrill ride.

It's immediate, you are living each scene with the main character Candy, and when it's over, all you want as a reader is for her to train the cross-hairs on Sam, and then go home and screw Lucas into the next century.

Five out of five stars! brilliant action packed punched at full throttle brilliant read!

I could not put this book down and damn well hope there'll be a sequel!

This tale loses out on a * only because it had some typos and a few lame similies, but other than that, it was an excellent tale, that even when it ended, had me asking whether that was really the end.

I couldn't make out if Sam was truly a baddie beyond redemption, who deserved to be killed. I couldn't figure out if he was a rogue lone operative, or some government-sanctioned, inadmissible, untraceable, killer extraordinaire. I couldn't figure out if he was a hitman puffed up on his own importance and out for revenge against Candy; a man scorned. I couldn't make out if Lucas was really just in Sam's employ, or if he and Candy were being played by a master at his game. Even at the end, I wasn't entirely sure if this was the end for Lucas and Candy, or if it was the end for her, or a new beginning for her.

The overall tale had twists a-plenty, and I didn't see any of them coming, and the author had me hooked from the very beginning. I liked it so much I can forgive him for the 'played me like an opera of porn' that he came out with in a sex-in-an-unlocked-restroom scene.

With a touch of editing and some attention to punctuation, this could have been an excellent read, reminiscent of James Bond's escapades.

To say "never a dull moment" would be an understatement for Burning Love. It kept me glued to my Kindle until I finished reading the entire story.

The author's succinct use of the language adds to the telling of the story without letting even the laziest reader to skip anything. Not a word is wasted, and every word furthers the plot. No droning descriptions or unnecessary scenes and dialogue exist. All the characters are developed through their actions, and the intense action in the story thrills the reader non-stop. The insertion of some science fiction adds to the tension and keeps the reader alert throughout.

In the story, the main character Candice's goal is to find the perfect lover, but her passion becomes her weakness, and her killer lover uses this weakness and her lack of judgment to make her change for the worse. The main character finds herself in such situations that even the second man in her life, whom she truly loves, she cannot trust. Through no fault of her own, Candice commits crimes and gains flaws by the end of the story. Even so, one feels empathy for her and roots for her, which alone shows the skill of Nomar Knight's pen.

For suspense lovers, Burning Love is a story that shouldn't be passed over, as the storytelling is exquisite until the end.

Nomar Knight is an accomplished and exceptional horror author so I was intrigued when he wrote an action thriller, with not a spooky specter in sight. Whether it's a grisly tale or a battle between hit men, Knight tells a great story.

In Burning Love, Candy Seymour thinks she has found her perfect man in Sam Collins. Unfortunately, that dream is irrevocably shattered when she learns her Mr. Right is also Mr. Hit Man. Torn between leaving him, knowing that he knows she knows, or becoming like him and not his next victim, she takes the second options.

As a test of her abilities, Sam sends her to kill his wife. The hit goes awry when Sam's wife is accosted by another attacker just as Candy is about to go in for the kill. She becomes her victim's savior instead of assassin.

Sam is furious but gives her a second chance to eliminate his wife. Before that can happen, Candy bumps into Lucas and is immediately swept off her feet, harder than she did for Sam. Lucas seems to be everything Sam is not. Then he offers her the opportunity to be rid of Sam forever.

From then on, Candy's life is a whirlwind of running for her life and fighting for her life. Soon she doesn't even know who she can and cannot trust.

Knight pumps up the adrenaline as Candy tries to figure out how she is going to come out of the biggest adventure of her life alive. He also injects a bit of science fiction and humor in the persona of a talking computer that takes an instant dislike to Candy. Who knew computers could be bitchy and catty?

As the climax approaches, I found myself reading too fast and accidentally skipping ahead in excitement. I had to force myself to read slower but Burning Love grabs a hold of you and doesn't let go.

I admit, I was hesitant to read this at first because the genre really isn't my thing--but I was hooked from page one. Burning Love is a fast-paced read filled with tons of action and suspense. It's one of those quick, easy reads that will have you laughing in some places, and dropping your jaw in others.

Candy was engaging. She's a strong woman who finds herself in a very bad situation. Her fiancé is a hit man. Once he knows she's discovered his secret, he forces her to make a chilling decision: Play along or become his next target. What follows isn't what one would necessarily expect, and from there on the plot twists and tension just keep coming!

I thought this was very well written. It was fluid, concise, and infused with humor. The characters were unique, each one of them bringing a different aspect to the table, and each of them being someone I looked forward to reading. The bittersweet end tied everything together and added a somber punch. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quick, enthralling read!
