Is this as good as Delerium 'Silence' or Tiesto 'Suburban Train'? Well nearly. Like 'Silence' the songs starts slowly and then it bursts into life only a mimute from the end. But I promise it is worth the wait. Van Buuren, one of the best DJs I have seen, appears to have finally cracked the ability to make a good single after the disappointing 'Yet another day'. This should be a song which reaches the top 20. I just hope he continues to make great songs.

Without a doubt a masterpiece when first released on Armin's album 75 and the remixes really makes the song have a more upbeat feeling to it. The best version apart from the orginal which unfortunatly not on the single is the Riley & Durrant Vocal Remix.

amazing 18 Nov 2005

this song is an amazing work of trance...maybe i'm being biased towards it cuz it was the last track armin spun on his u.s. tour in minneapolis and it was truly uplifting, but this is really great, both the original, and for the clubs, the rising star mix.

For anyone who loves progressive trance pieces with strong vocals from the likes of paul van dyk and tiesto this song is as good as it gets. The Rising stars mix is absolutely amazing raising the bar for DJs everywhere with one of the most euphoric climaxes you will ever hear.

BEAUTIFUL - ARMIN'S BEST! 29 Jan 2006

OK, sorry about this, but I haven't heard tracks 3 and 4 so that kind of ruins the whole review, doesn't it? Still, here's some comments on the Rising Star Mixes.

First off, I liked the stunningly different album version of "Burned With Desire" on Armin van Buuren's album "76". It was atmospheric, downbeat, and breakbeat. Cool! That version isn't on this single, but the Rising Star Mixes are better anyway.

1. Radio Edit. Beautiful, upbeat, and catchy. It might be cheesy, but the vocals are amazing (Justine Suissa supplies them - hear her on Oceanlab's "Clear Blue Water" and "Satellite"). The music is uplifting and the beat is great. Nothing bad about this remix at all.

2. Extended Mix. More of the same. Now you get 7+ minutes of dancing to this amazing beat and hearing the music alone without the vocals.

3. Dub Mix. More of the same again. It kind of gets boring by now but if you want to hear selected parts of the song in club mix fashion, here it is. It just makes you want to throw a party just to mix this into the playlist, doesn't it?

4 & 5. Probably good remixes. It's hard to mess up a song as amazing as this one.

So yeah, overall, this song rocks. Justine Suissa is an amazing vocalist and Armin Van Buuren is an amazing producer. "Shivers" may be dissapointing, but I'm sure Armin's cooking up something else as great as this.
