5.0 out of 5 stars It was just what I wanted 24 Mar 2013

Planning to write about Burma and it's relationship to the UK over the years. This film was a useful piece of information in that endeavour.

It's worth anybody watching, though, to get a feel for what some people had to endure in their lives. At this distance in time I felt great sympathy for all participants, British, Japanese, Burmese, Indian and in the end just the people involved, no goodies and baddies.

It's always hard to feel grateful for what you've got. This film helped me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Burma campaign 26 April 2009
Excellent insight into the not-so-famous part of the Second World War. This arena never received the attention of Europe and the Pacific campaigns, but was indeed a dirty war fought under extremely terrible conditions.

5.0 out of 5 stars WW2 history. 11 May 2014

This is probably one of the best dvd's if not only for the brilliant footage found at the end of the extras featuring none other than the real hero of El Alamein the'orc'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 17 April 2014

The condition of the dvd and cover is excellent. My Granddad fought in this war and never spoke of it, It's only in the last 5 years or so that I have really understood what went on and why we where there. This dvd tells the horrific story fills in a lot of blanks and I can see why Granddad said nothing.
