For those of you familiar with the Horus Heresy series, this one of the latest audio dramas released in this best selling, multi-author series.

1. Burden of Duty tells the tale of Garro infiltrating an Imperial Fists vessel seeking another "recruit" for the Sigillite's secret band, but didn't really tell us much. 3/5
2. Grey Angel however really picked this CD up however. Qruze and "Cerberus" (listen to Garro: Legion of One to see who this is!) are on Caliban trying to establish where the Dark Angel's loyalties lie. Along the way, there is an interesting conversation between Luther and Cerberus, and a revealing involvement of a major 40K character and where his loyalties may truly lie. 4/5

The voice acting and sound on both are great, but they are let down by their short length.
Overall 4/5 - they possibly set up story-lines in the future, but don't add much by themselves, and should not be listened to in isolation.

I am a big fan of Garro and "Cerberus" is a hero of mine. Very interesting insight into what became of 2 very important elements in the Heresy. I agree it does not advance the story (but how can it? We all know how it ends!) but it is interesting stuff that you never got to know before. It is rather short though and not a huge amount happens - really for serious 40K fans.

My husband bought these as he's a massive fan of these books. He loves the CDs as he finds it really relaxing to listen to. He would thoroughly recommend, esp if you're a fan.
