We ordered this kettle being totally fed up with having to boil our standard 1.7 litre kettle twice every time we needed to brew for 10 office staff. This kettle caters for 10+ big mugs of tea/coffee with water to spare. The remaining water in the kettle stays at near boiling point when the green button is depressed so if visitors arrive sometime after boiling by switching the kettle on again you only wait approx 30 seconds for it to come back to the boil so it saves us all time when doing a brew round. It is quite heavy when full but the extra cup-handle on the side makes it easy to pour - when filling it up we use the old kettle! The kettle itself is very sturdy and the concealed element means that you can even boil one cup of water if you want to. Everyone who has used it has agreed that it is an excellent kettle and we all wonder why we haven't bought one sooner. We all highly recommend it.
