Bumbo is fantastic. My little boy sat in it from about four months when he had started taking solids. It is portable which makes eating out much easier and he liked being able to see around him. It encourages babies to get a really good feel for sitting upright. The only downside is that if, like my little boy, your baby has quite chubby legs as they get bigger they get uncomfortable sitting in it as their legs feel trapped. I would recommend a Bumbo to all parents as a necessary purchase.

I wish I had had one of these for my first baby. She spent 4 months sat on my lap, because I thought she was colicy, but all she wanted was to see what was going on. My second daughter loved being in hers, the only problem is that they are at floor level, which she did get a bit fed up about when her sister was not about at her level. My only critisism is that the rubbery texture and shape make it very stable, and resistant to slipping. As a consequence I could not resist the temptation to put it on the kitchen table when I first started weaning.
