Manufacturer's Description

Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Bully: Scholarship Edition is coming to the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft this Winter. The Xbox 360 version will retain the wit and deep gameplay of the previously released PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system title and will boast additional new content.

Bully: Scholarship Edition takes place in the fictional New England boarding school of Bullworth Academy, and tells the story of 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins as he experiences the highs and lows of adjusting to a new school. Capturing the hilarity and awkwardness of adolescence perfectly, Bully: Scholarship Edition pulls the player into its cinematic and engrossing world.

Product Description

As a mischievous schoolboy, you`ll stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the worst school around, Bullworth Academy - a corrupt and crumbling prep school with an uptight facade.

The story follows Jimmy Hopkins, a teenager who`s been expelled from every school he`s ever attended. Left to fend for himself after his mother abandons him at Bullworth to go on her fifth honeymoon, Jimmy has a whole year at Bullworth ahead of him, working his way up the social ladder of this demented institution of supposed learning, standing up for what he thinks is right and taking on the liars, cheats and snobs who are the most popular members of the student body and faculty. If Jimmy can survive the school year and outsmart his rivals, he could rule the school.

  • New Content: 8 new missions, 4 new classes, hilarious new characters, added two-player mode, new unlockables, new rewards and achievements.
  • Variety: With 82 missions, 45 lessons, loads of minigames and collectibles, Bully provides over 30 hours of entertainment.
  • Characters: Over 100 voiced characters to socially interact with among several social groups - jocks, nerds, preppies, greasers, teachers, townies, carnies and of course girls.
  • Choice: You`re in charge. Decide whether you have a positive or negative effect when interacting or accepting missions - you can say hello to fellow classmates or deliver mean wedgies.

4.0 out of 5 stars Back to school, 26 Jan 2009

Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game in the sale after all the hype surrounding it. I have to say all the negative press must have been from people who actually never played the game, it is actually anti-bullying! This game is a lot of fun with elements of GTA about it but also very different. Start off with the basics, small school map and grows a lot until you get the full experience with all the surrounding towns. You can do multiple lessons for bonuses and the key missions that move you on to the next stage of the game. I do agree however with some of the reviews on here, even after downloading the patch it did freeze on me on a few occasions, and the graphics are not really next gen at all and more like glorified PS2. These issues however do not impact the whole game enough to put you off. The game itself may be a little short if you just play it straight through, and to be honest, I had to go on the net to find out how to complete some of the lessons (especially in the time allowed). All in All though, at this price especially, good fun game taking you back to your school days :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Bully receives top grades!, 28 Mar 2008
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
First of all let me say how happy I am to see this game receive the proper title of Bully instead of the UK's stupid Canis Canem Edit (Latin for dog eat dog)This country is far to obsessed with upsetting people that aren't even offended in the first place!

Anyway back to the review... I'd also like to say how amazed I was by the graphics, I know there are a lot of reviewers out there that shun the graphics saying they are no better than PS2... let's please remember that this is merely a PORT to the 360, they weren't going to create completely new models and textures for the entire game!

The graphics now include dynamic lighting, there are textures to the characters in which the light falls across realisticly and we also have the ultimate treat of seeing the whole game in full widescreen anti alaised high definition! Everytime I switch the game back on I'm wowed by the quality. Think GTA polished up to a shine!

The gameplay is fantastic, you can do what you want, go where you want and play pranks on students such as stuffing them in lockers or trash cans (although this is considered bullying and will get you a detention if caught!) Of course ala GTA you can also choose to play the perfect pupil and not bully students, it's all up to you!

The missions are very varied and always fun, ranging from sneaking round the girls dorm collecting panties to fireing at jocks with a spudgun to defend the geeks' fort. Buildings and people can be egged, property can be vandalised, you can steal from lockers etc. You can also run helpful errands for students and teachers and participate in classes that earn you rewards.

There's a large school campus to explore and also the huge surrounding area that contains shops and other oportunities for mishief and financial gain. There's several different American school cliques that you can join and be a part of in your enevitable rise through the social ranks of school! Of course with the variety of characters there will be a character for everyone to relate to and all of them provide that usual Rockstar tongue in cheek humour that sets these games apart from the rest!

New features include several new missions, some multiplayer mini games and four new classes to attend all of which are much more fun than the originals and involve some real brainpower at times. Leraning has never been so much fun!

So buy this game now! You won't regret it and for all this quality gaming at such a cheap price, you can't go wrong!

5.0 out of 5 stars What crashes? What glitches? Bad graphics?, 2 April 2008

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Well, if you've got live dont worry about the crashes. I bought this yesterday and the update when I started it up has worked fine, sometimes freezes for a few seconds before you kiss girls but thats all. And Ive got a HD TV and the graphics look really good to me!

Other that that, a brilliant game that every GTA fan will love, I even prefer it to San Andreas. Funny, addictive and varied gameplay. Loads to do, and the achievements are actually good fun to achieve! Buy it!
