Book Description

1 May 2007 Traditional Tales with a Twist
Badger is happy living in his neat and tidy burrow – until Big Bad Bully Goat decides to move in! Bully Goat has such a fearsome reputation that even Badger’s biggest friends are too scared to help. All seems lost until help arrives from a very unexpected quarter and Badger realises that size isn't everything. This traditional Iberian tale is retold with a twist by storyteller, poet and anthologist Andrew Fusek Peters.

'the outdoor tradition of English writing stretches by way of Gilbert White and Borrow, Cobbett, Jefferies and Hudson, through Williamson to those few authentic outdoor and nature writers - Jim Crumley, Mark Cocker, Paul Evans, Andrew Fusek Peters - of the present day.' This is a book that I would use in my classroom for bullying. Great illustrations and a good story structure that the kids will be able to relate to. It has a good message that the kids will be able to figure out.
