If like me, you are a fan of LTJ Bukem, then you pretty much know what you're about to hear when you pick up a new release. The Good Looking Records manifesto is all about jazzy rhodes organs, cavernous basslines, multi-layered ambience and, er, jazzy rhodes organs. And that is exactly what this mix features. Despite the formula approach, there's always that slight progression every time which keeps things interesting, and this mix does not disappoint. The standout tracks are "Treasure Towers" by Good Looking stalwart Makoto and "Electrofusion" by the fast-rising Greenfly, but they're all really good, and the MC'ing (by the indefatigable Conrad) keeps things entertaining. For a live CD, the tightness of LTJ's mixing is astonishing - the man is a true genius, and the crowd noise gives a real energy to proceedings. If I have any minor complaints, they regard the sound quality of the CD, which seems a trifle muddy to me, and the fact that the instrumental CD is just the first CD again, with the vocals removed. A separate studio mix of the same tunes would have been ideal. Still, buy this CD and marvel at the remarkable musical microcosm created by one of the UK's true musical visionaries. Stay away, though, if you don't like the sound of a Fender Rhodes!!

Once again bukem delievers,i wonder how many reviewers have written that line? This cd is excellent i bought it a while ago and it hasnt been out of my cd player yet.

Theres a lot of aussie producers on this 1 (vice versa) and also the rising star greg packer. The cd carrys on the live feel from ps6 and 7 the mix was recorded live @ the end in london. This cd is great if your a casual fan or even if your a a big fan of good looking (probably the best loved d&b label).
Mc conrad is on top form with intellignet lyrics as usual although i do miss the double time with drs. Also on the cd is goodlooking's biggest rising star Makoto who has his treasure towers single on the cd which is a great track.Id recomend this cd to anyone even if your not a ardent dnb fan you can still listen to it at home WELL WORTH BUYING!
