Formerly a principal lecturer in building services engineering at Southampton Institute of Higher Education, now Southampton Solent University, a senior lecturer at Oxford Polytechnic, now Oxford Brookes University, self-employed energy auditor, and an energy performance contracting engineer in Melbourne, he is now retired from commercial work.

Its OK but I have seen better. 30 May 2012

As someone doing an HND in Building Services Eng. I bought this to help with studies but found I havent used it after going through it twice. The values and formulas used in this book are not the ones taught in my class so its a hard read if trying to understand a principle because you have been taught it one way and the book tries to reteach you it. Explanations are either too short or too long winded for me. Its a personal thing but I didnt like this book and would not recommend it. For me getting books on the individual units is more effective and gives a better understanding of the principle even though its more expensive.

Good book a must for all engineers and managers 10 Jan 2011

I found this book to be a benefit to me and I feel it would be a benefit to anybody in the industries from the engineers to high levels of management. Covering many topics with calculations etc. This is also ideal as a reference book.
