The media created sub-genre of punk, Emo, is often overlooked, but there are many, many amazing bands (albeit mostly American) that consistently produce some of the very best 'melodic yet heavy' and moving music there is around today.
This album is Sense Field's third and I bought it on release in 1996 after a 5 star review in Kerrang. No-one I know has ever heard of the band but they are true genius's. The musicianship is of a very high quality, tight fast drums and wonderful punctuating guitar combines with Jonathon DBunch's emotive and personal lyrics. Sense Field have the magic ability to make everything okay with your life. Been dumped? get this album, Feeling happy? get this album, the songs will shape your mood dependng on what you want from them. It is inspiring and although only around 35 mins long it seems to last forver. I have to listen alll the way through at least 3 times to be satisfied.
Do your self a favour if you are into emotive, yet feel good music with melody and punk energy, get this. Also check out bands like Jimmy Eat World, The Promise Ring, and Sunny Day Real Estate for similar treats, What are you waiting for???

undeniably their best yet. somehow sensefield manage to top the dizzying heights of their debut, "killed for less". packed full of classic tracks, especially the opening riff to building, simply put, it rocks. buy it know, you won't be disappointed. it may even inspire you to purchase more emo-core. try "texas is the reason - do you know who you are?" or "the promise ring - very emergancy". peace

This really is the Apex of the early emo movement, prior to the explosion of scene in the music press - and as such it missed the hype boat, add in the fact that it took them years of record company problems to get a follow up released and you have the recipe for a lost classic. If you don't have this you need to know that sense field are an anomaly, in that they are an emo outfit with the most uplifting & positive outlook out there(and this album is pretty uptempo too) - no whining miserablism here, just strong emotional songs that get your heart & your body moving. My favourite in the genre - and I have a few.
