WARNING!!! 21 Jan 2004
By "fedz1"
Format:Paperback
This kind of book was written for the latest system in 1996, which is now completely obsolete. The cases and part arrangements are different, the parts themselves 5-10x as powerful now, and the OS is not even worth talking about. If you're interested in knowing about and upgrading the bowels of your home relic, buy this book by all means. HOWEVER, this is not written for the high performance gaming machines and entertainment systems that grace our society nowadays. I recommend that in that case you just ditch the antiquity, buy a new case, an up to date manual, and buy all the modern components you need.

Its going back today. If you want a book about cutting edge tech this sure is not it. This book is way behind the times. Don't waste your time. Amazon should not even be selling it.

Avoid this awful book at all costs. 28 May 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book is tasteless, hard to read, and just flat out useless to it's purpose. Do Not Buy it. It's so bad it's not even funny. Although I did enjoy one aspect of owning this book, handing it over personally to my tax collector, that'll teach him.

An awesome book! 31 May 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is the best book I've ever read. It tells you everything you need to know about building your own PC. I built an awesome PC for hardly any money. You would be a fool not to buy this book. I Can't say enough.
