This new children's book illustrates very creatively how to build a legendary American Icon known as the Wells Fargo Stagecoach. Since 1852, the Wells Fargo stagecoach has been a symbol of reliable service accross the American West. Over one hundred forty-five years ago, the stages traveled across thousands of miles of desert, prairie, and mountain roads to deliver mail and cash. During the Gold Rush, Wells Fargo provided regular communications (including the first electronic transaction, by telegraph in 1864)... delivered vital goods... converted unprocessed gold into U.S. gold coins... and provided checks and bank drafts. Wells Fargo's familiar trademark, the Concord Stagecoach, is both a momento of its historic role in developing the West's premier stage line and an enduring symbol of reliability -- the pride in "coming through" for its customers that has been a Wells Fargo hallmark for over 145 years. The stagecoach symbol has stirred the hearts of Westerners and americans worldwide for many generations. This book is an excellent resource for teachers and children for learning about the American West and the development of the U.S. frontier. Today, the stagecoach symbol still stands for "service, reliability, dependability, and integretity." As Wells Fargo is recognized today as a premier financial services company and one of America's most admired corporations known for extraordinry customer service and for "coming through". Children of all ages and adults will enjoy this book. Wells Fargo, Fast Then. Fast Now. Since 1852
