A different and cute story by Ms. Sweeney.
Eleanor, an entrepreneurial go-getter who lives in Chicago, has a sudden meeting with Connie, a woman who is more than she seems. Eleanor is begged by the women who practically raised her, to go with them to a resort in Wisconsin (they will sing at the supper club, and she will manage their efforts). Connie, coincidentally, is there as well. Will love bloom? Does a bear poop in the Wisconsin woods?
Sweeney's later books haven't been as good as her earlier ones; I hope she finds her mojo. This wasn't bad, but when you compare it to those older ones, one can notice a difference.
I would've loved more story and more pages, and that is my biggest complaint with lesbian fiction (that's my complaint with most fiction).
A good way to spend a few hours.
