First things first, Can you build it! YES YOU CAN..!
However, Scoop, Muck and Dizzy aren't around to give you a helping hand, Dad is and if your Dad was a builder he'd be out of a job the next day.
My Son, typed the above, to fight my case, the cement was not proper cement so, you can't expect me to build it properly.
Anyway, back to the review. This toy is brilliant my son loved it, pity there wasn't enough paste, but we had a fun job making different shapes and even tried our hand at making a brick car. The clock tower is pretty straight forward and it also gets the child thinking about how to do it. I mean the bricks are laid out as you would build it in real life.
The only thing of worry was the metal trowel, which in my view should be plastic and rounded off. I do not recommend giving this toy to children of age 3, age 4+ seems more relevant. Also, expect to make a fair bit of mess, the playmat is handy, but with kids you will still make a big mess, more the kids the messier it will get.
I guess the toy has an educcational feel to it, I mean they can grow being brick layers, although I wouldn't encourage them to be builders.
A great toy and it goes well with the whole Bob the builder theme of fun and mess. The nice thing is it isn't just for boy's, girls will love this as much as boys as it involves building various shapes and if you buy 2 boxes, the expermentation is endless.
Overall, highly recommended for a Bob the Builder fans.

What a fantastic toy! Both my children, boy and girl absolutely LOVED this, it is TOTALLY different from anything that they have tried before and that all added to the excitement!
Apart from the initial thrill that it is Bob the builder, which will be enough to sell the produt being very popular, i've never seen a brilliant little building set before where you can 'cement' them together and then reuse them again and build new buildings for the town!
I found with my children they did need a bit of supervision, obviously to mix the 'cement' up and help them create towers and houses! But once all set up they could let their imaginations run away with them.
Great little set an easy choice for a present for any bob fan, will certainly be buying more for birthdays!

The packaging this comes in is fab - it comes with a handle, and it's very bright and cheerful, although you may discover a light dusting of cement powder on everything inside... There are already a wealth of reviews, so I won't go on too much except to say that while this is fun, it's fairly limited.
The mess factor (and Bob the Builder label) distinguishes this from other building block games, and kids will love that aspect of it, but once the novelty of that wears off, Lego is actually funner and more varied... not to mention cheaper and cleaner.
The cement can be cleaned off with a soak, so it has a lot of longevity in terms of shelf-life, but its being so limited in scope means it stops being interesting quickly enough. It's wonderful fun for an afternoon, but with kids who have a short attention span especially, this won't be more than a brief diversion, and there are better toys to buy if you don't plan to pull them out the cupboard a lot, for example, the National Geographic Egyptian Kit.
This really is fun while you're building, but it'd be best for kids who are into Bob, as its other qualities are easily found in other (better?) toys.
