Like a lot of people, I first heard Maximum the Hormone by watching the anime Death Note. Luckily, both "What's Up, People?!" and "Zetsubou Billy" are a good introduction to the album, and if you love those songs, this album will appeal to you in many ways. Having been described as "the Japanese System of a Down", Maximum the Hormone know how to write songs that are just pretty weird! For example, track 11 is named "Chu Chu Lovely Muni Muni Mura Mura Purin Purin Boron Nururu Rero Rero." That they sing in Japanese does not matter as long as you can appreciate the singing melodies and the musician qualities of the band. I highly recommend this CD to all fans of j-rock, and rock in general.

Damn! 21 Sep 2008
Format:Audio CD
I looked over their songs on Youtube after listening to the opening/ending credits to Death Note, and I msut say this is probably one of the best albums made. In style it's compariable to that of System of a Down, but alot more cheerful. What's up, People!?, Chu Chu Lovely and Zetsubou Billy are brilliant songs in their own right, but this entire album is really, really worth checking out. No song seems to be filler. A definate must for audiophiles as they use alot of subtle guitar riffs. This dedication to music is definatly something missing from the West.

wicked album 4 Feb 2008
Format:Audio CD
Its like a random mix of hardcore yet soft sounds on this album. What's up people and Zetsubou Billy are the best songs on this album by far. The random beats come very fast and unpredictable so it makes me like them more.
