Product Description

The original BugBuster No-Harm Spider and Bug Vacuum is an insect vacuum that sucks up bugs, insects, spiders, flies, stinging insects, bees and more! Simply wait for the insect to settle, then press the button to start the motor while carefully approaching the bug. When close enough, carefully hold the tube over the insect to gently suck it into the catch tube. While the motor is on, turn the BugBuster upright so the open end is pointing upwards preventing the insect from crawling out. Replace the cap at the end of the tube. Then take the insect outside and safely release at arm's length. This is a gentle insect vacuum designed not to harm the insect. Non-toxic, no harm insect control. Bugbuster Battery Operated Insect Vacuum The BugBuster is great for trapping and removing spiders, bees and other unwanted guests. Capture bugs from ceilings, walls, empty bathtubs... almost anywhere. Includes safety cap to prevent escape of stinging insects for safe removal. Operates on one 9 volt DURACELL or ENERGIZER battery. The device does not work well with low grade batteries. Please make sure the tube is completely flush against to the motor housing for correct suction. Since 1981 Sonic Technology guarantees our products. If you have any problems with product defect please contact us for a replacement.

Absolutely awful. Would not catch the smallest insect even when trapped the insect completely up against a hard surface. No power what so ever.

The BugBuster Insect Vacuum is decent, but not amazing. The very first time I used it was on a small to medium sized spider. It was on a difficult bit near the ceiling so I couldn't get a perfect seal around the end of the plastic tube. The spider just sat there and was completely unaffected. I ended up having to nudge him into the tube. At which point, granted, he struggled to escape with me holding it upright. My next attempt was with a daddy-long-legs. This was considerably more effective. I just had to get it close to him, and he was sucked in, his tiny feeble body unable to escape the suction. My third attempt was a small moth. Much like the first attempt, the insect vacuum had literally no effect. I again ended up encouraging him into the tube. The suction simply isn't powerful enough. With a perfect seal around the tube and the wall, it is capable of a little more, but not as much as I was hoping. The end cap is good quality and just works. The only issue occuring when you come to release the little beasties. If you're scared of them (which you most likely are if you're reading this) then you'll have to pick your moment carefully to take the cap off and release them into the wild, or wherever you deem fit. The alternative of course, is to turn the suction on prior to removing the cap, this works too. The motor is a lot louder than I thought it was going to be. Silly me first trying it out when others in the house were asleep...

Another point to make is that the tube really isn't long enough if you are properly scared of spiders. I suppose they had to find a happy medium between length of tube, and suction capability. I did originally consider returning this item after my first use, but now that I've used it a little more, I see it has its uses.

This really does work and suck up unwanted spiders. I only wish they would make one with a reverse button so it's easy to eject them.

Battery inside keeps moving when facing vac at an angle. It looses power then stops working. You would have to pat it to work and wham. The freaking spider runs off and hides. Waste of money

I hav used this item before but it got damaged. so i bought these new ones ( two ). For people who are squeamish about how to get rid of "creepy crawlies " or those who think everything should live its life, this is ideal. Just vacumn it up then release in the garden.
everybody happy.
