A mix of college life and Vampire rock!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Audio CD)
I originally bought this soundtrack, as I am a great fan of the show. I only knew about three of the artists on the album and about two of the songs! But this is one of the best soundtracks that I have ever heard. There are naturally up beat songs reflecting the teen lifestyle as well as the gothic references to Buffy's nighttime life style. The album has introduced me to a whole new world of music from the harsh vocals of "Four Star Mary" to Christopher Beck's soft piano love theme. Although a little dated now, since it was made over three years ago and the show has moved along a lot, I look forward to a second sound track being released (hint, hint Joss!)

Excellent with funky beats and wicked bands,

All the music is diffrent and easy to listen to, why aren't some of these bands on release over here? If any of you love Buffy then you'll be able to tell where the songs play in with the stories, but otherwise the music sound is so good you'll have it on repeat all the time, especially the lovely one on numbers 4, 16 and 18.

I bought this CD ages ago and still have not got bored of it yet! That is no mean feat! It has a song for every kind of atmosphere or mood possible and features many excellent bands. The only song that I am not too keen on is Hepburns "I quit". It does not really fit into the atmosphere of Buffy at all. My favourite tunes are; "Lucky", "It doesn't matter", "Transylvanian concubine" and "Close your eyes". All in all, this is an EXCELLENT album and I would highly recommend anyone; whether a Buffy fan or not, to buy it!
