Eons ago powerful demons walked the earth. Over the ages these ancient demons lost their control over society and failed to keep up with the changing times. The Old Ones, as they were known, were forced to retreat to the depths of Hell, while mortal man reigned the world. Now, back for revenge, the Old Ones are trying to take over the earth by creating a bridge between hell and earth, and leading an army of demons into the living world. For this terrible plan to succeed, the Old Ones require the dark powers of the Master, a 600 year old vampire with expertise in opening dimensional portals.
Enter Buffy Summers, a 17-year-old high school student who must balance adolescent growing pains with the responsibility of being the "Chosen One" to rid vampires and other demonic creatures that threaten the world's existence. It's up to Buffy to save the world from vampires and demons and to save the human race from being "drained" from this devilish plan

Buffy the Tomb Raider,
This review is from: Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Xbox) (Video Game)
If you're a fan of the Buffy television show, you will love this game. it features all the original cast members voices, except Buffy's (although her stand in does a very good job) and locations from the show (the school, the Bronze, Angel's mansion, etc.). It is set during the shows third season and has a great story involving the return of the Master. The graphics are fairly good, especially the animations on Buffy herself. The gameplay starts off well, but later descends into a Tomb Raider clone (find switch, kill bad guys, do precision jumps etc.). This does not mean this is a poor game, it's just a shame a bit more imagination couldn't have gone towards the level layout. The one area this game really does excel is in the combat. At close quarters, Buffy can punch, kick and use combos with the best of them. The combat is very intuitive and it's obvious a lot of thought has been put into the controls. Overall, if you're a fan of the show, get this. It's worth the asking price just to beat up Spike. It's just a shame it couldn't have been a more original title.

Fantastic......Having waited for this release like what seems forever I was beggining to think it would not live up to expectations - but I was wrong. The game starts with the opening sequence from an episode of Buffy & when you start playing - you belive you are in an episode of Buffy. You are "The Slayer". The graphics are outstanding. Spike, Buffy, Giles...they are all there in incredible detail along with the Bronze, the Library and other recognisable locations. The actors provide the voices of the characters which makes it even more authenic. The exception being Sarah Michelle Gellar but the stand in does an excellent job. Sometimes the likeness is uncanny. The graphics, sound, gameplay..everything about this game is top draw. A definate 9/10. If you have an XBOX you must get Buffy.

This review is from: Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Xbox Classics) (Video Game)
Firstly I just have to say that this is an amazing game! I loved it from start to finish! There are some difficult parts, but I'm not very good at games and I still managed to complete it. You can play on easy, medium or hard so no matter how good you aare the game is for you! The story line is jut as if you are watching an episode of our beloved Buffy, and even if you don't watch the programme (like many o my friends) you will still love it. As you progress through the game you get new slayer moves and weapons ( my fave is the final one!) However, there is one problem, the level of difficulty doesn't seem to steadily increase, some of the hardest demons are in the 4th or 5th level and the easy zombies are in the 3rd from last level. Also I found it really easy to beat the final boss. However, the levels are so long and involved that I have not once thought that I didn't get my moneys worth so buy it today!
