This book was alright in general. However the author's style did ruin the story. If you want to read the better Buffy books, I think books written by Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder are the best so far.

I really thought I was going to like this book and I did for 3/4 of it. The idea of the story is that somebody is trying to ressurect Ravana and the gang have to figure out who and stop them before anymore people are killed by Ravana's minions called the Rakshasa. I thought that Mila Daruwalla being introduced was a good idea but she was only scattered about the book for the first half and then you never heard from her again. Another thing that disappointed me was that Cordelia, Xander and Oz weren't really in the book alot and the story was told mostly from Buffy and Willow's point of view which is ok but Xander and Cordelia, especially Cordelia are such great characters its a shame they didn't have more to say in this novel. I didn't really like the ending to this book as there wasn't really a spectacular fight sequence. The main threat of the book was the Rakshasa rather than Ravana and I think the book would have been better if he had come into the book a bit sooner. There are some good points about the book and one of them was the tension between Willow and Buffy but this problem was solved far too soon. Overall this book was alright and if you love Buffy books you'll probably enjoy this one too even if the ending isn't great.

this book is good and brings across good relationships with the characters for example buffy and giles , xander and cordelia and oz and xander but this book took a long time for me to read I think it took alot for the author(s) to bring the storyline across but on the whole one of the best buffy books i've read
