I needed something to extend my ethernet network over wirless G and this was the perfect item. Linksys, Dlink and all the other players did one but I chose this one because it has 4 ethernet ports built in which meant I didnt need to connect a switch to the wireless bridge.
Out of the box, I connected it all up and opened up a browser and went to http://1.1.1.1 and changed the settings to match my internal network and bang, was up and running within 5 mins! 2 things to look out for though, 1 the password length it stores is not particularly long and 2. I cant seem to find any firmware updates for it from the buffalo website. Whether there arent any as yet I'm not sure. All in all, a great product. Shame that even with Amazon's free delivery I got it cheaper at broadbandbuyer.co.uk

These aren't made any more, I believe, but if you have a number of ethernet-only devices that you want to connect to a wi-fi network this does a great job. It's a set-it-and-forget-it device, it maintains a good connection with the wireless network and it seems to be very resilient to router restarts, etc. Well worth seeking on the second-hand market.
Now, if only it contained a gigabit switch instead of 100Mbps...

This is the second buffalo unit i have bought.
It is simple to set up using your pc and perfect for connecting both of my blu ray dvd players to the internet. An excellent product which is more than fit for purpose
