I purchased this as a backup device that I could write to remotely when on the road, and also for its DNLA capability to allow me to play video content on my DNLA Panasonic Blu-Ray DMP-BD85EG-K.
Set-up is easy, thanks to the web interface, network data transfer is rapid, and I can also perform internet back-ups either direct via my network's IP address or using the buffalonas website. I've not yet had the opportunity to use the built in torrent client. And the 2.0Tb capacity is absolutely sufficient for my needs at the moment.
The only disappointment was that despite both being DNLA, my Bluray does not seem to be compatible with this device (the BluRay does work perfectly well with my Windows 7 pc however). Basically the BluRay does not "see" the video files once it has connected to the LinkStation... Anway, I've not been able to find any solutions on the web so I am having to live with it in the hope that a future firmware update will resolve the issue.
All-in-all though, I am satisfied with this as a good netowrk storage device.
