My mother bought me this book one Christmas many years ago and I have to say that it's been worth its weight in gold. Lots of recipes that look and taste expensive and yet with minimum effort or expense. Try the Iced Mocha Souffle and the Gammon with Apricots - these have both become foundation stones of my entertaining repertoire. I've never had a bad recipe out of this book - and am now trying to buy all her other books as well.
