Product Description

'Riveting' Sunday Times; 'A hugely entertaining read'. Mojo; 'A fitting, gritty testament' Irish Times; 'A valuable addition to rock'n'roll history' Daily Mail

From the Publisher

The definitive Buddy Holly story. This book debunks the clean-cut myth and establishes that the dawn of rock'n'roll was no different from its more famous excesses of the '60s.

On its first publication, this book was described as 'Riveting' by the Sunday Times and 'A hugely entertaining read' by Mojo. It remains the most important book written about Buddy Holly - a must for anyone interested in his music.

A Buddy Holly fan 13 April 2013

Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I enjoy anything Buddy Holly. Unfortunately we lost him
way to soon. Some tuff parts to read but all in all I like the book.
Total garbage and trashing the life of a deceased superstar 25 Aug. 2014

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY . THIS BOOK IS NOT THE "REAL STORY". This book is composed of lies, distortions, and half truths. If you want the truth, read the following books:

Remembering Buddy by John Goldrosen and John Beecher. This is the definitive biography of Buddy Holly
Day the Music Died by Larry Lehmer
Ritchie Valens the First Latino Rocker by Beverly Mendheim
King of Clovis (Norman Petty) by Frank Blanas

The 3-volume set of "Life & Times of Buddy Holly & the Crickets" by Alan Clark

And, if you can find it, the five-volume set of "Buddy Holly Day by Day" by the late Bill Griggs who was THE Buddy Holly expert.
