4.0 out of 5 stars Great songs that set up a great band. 5 Jan 2002
Format:Audio CD
If you're a Blink fan, then there's no excuse not to have this album. These are the songs that they stuck on a CD with Kung Fu Records that then got recognised by MCA records which followed up with their next 4 albums to date. Although their old drummer, Scott Raynor, seems to want to race to the end of the songs as fast as possible and also lacks the structure ability of Travis Barker. Tom's undeniably awesome guitar solos and Marks cheesey punk rock kids riffs make for a good laugh and it's apparent that they were set to become something big. "Carousel" is probabley the best song on this album were good creativity and structure is concerned, but also songs like, "The girl Next Door", and "Toast and Bananas" are fun to sing along to and are also quite well-written. These songs are examples of how these guys started out, what they were origionally, and if you consider yourself to be a true fan of Blink, you must have this. Not only for the sake of owning it, but also to enjoy these great songs that, I personally, still listen to regularly. BUY IT NOW!

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly great album 19 Oct 2000
Format:Audio CD
Having read some of the other reviews of this album saying how bad this album is I decided it was time to put the record straight. This is a great album. It is the first Blink album and is equally as good as the the other albums, all of which get five stars from me. As a punk fan I prefer this album to Enema of the state as it has a far more raw feel to it. 'Carousel' and 'Romeo and Rebecca' are two of my particular favourites. Big Blink 182 fans and fans of punk should definately buy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dont listen if people say its crap 17 Jan 2001
Format:Audio CD
Seriously, it's a wicked album...better than enema of the state by a long way...its loud, raw and classy! Best song would be 'romeo and rebecca'......and any of the songs on here that are also on cheshire cat, these versions are shitloads better. buy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, not excellent 20 July 2001
Format:Vinyl
So.....I had £10 and was deciding whether to buy "The Urethra Chronicles" or "Buddha" on viynl....I decided to buy Buddha on viynl and I am pleased with my decision,ok..the sound quality isn't excellent but they performed these songs 6 months after they had formed..they werent exactly a well oiled machine at this point. The songs show what was to come and tracks like "Carousel", "Time", "T.V" are some of my favourites. I urge you to buy this album and make your own mind up. Toms signing isnt up to scratch even though this album was digitally re-mastered but at the end of the day..this album is good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buddhalistic - fantastic 11 Oct 2003
By Christos Stathis VINE VOICE
Format:Audio CD
Buddha is the first album of Blink 182. This is a new version, digitally remixed and remastered. Apart from the hit single "Carousel", this album contains the following songs: T.v., Strings, Fentoozler, Time, Romeo & Rebecca, 21 Days, Sometimes, Point of view, My pet Sally, Reebok commercial, Toast & bananas, The girl next door, and Don't. All in all, it is a great cd, proof of Blink's amazing punk rock music in their very beginning. A must have for your collection, whether you are blink 182 fan, or just a punk rock music maniac!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not There best but still good! 22 Aug 2001
Format:Audio CD
This unfinished, rough round the edges album at first glance may put you off. DONT BE FOOLED! This album, despite the sound quality is very good and brings out the best of blink on numerous occasions, i think ill need to listen 2 it abit more as the later albums still seem better....But buy it anyway as it shows you the raw punk talent that blink 182 have often lost in their rise through the 'pop' world!

3.0 out of 5 stars What are people on about? its blink but so? 1 Aug 2003
Format:Audio CD
I can't understand why people are saying this album is great, its good and sounds like blink but the recording is really poor and even though it has been digatally remastered the sound quality still isn't that good.
The vocals of Tom are shoddy and at times make you cover up your ears. Mark does slightly better but not leaps and bounds.
What saves this album from being awful is the fact that the songs are great and if blink performed them now they would sound good.
Carousel and 21 days are my favourite songs and the album is consistant with its standard throughout and you'll find after a few listens you'll be singing along.
The album definately dose't compare with Dude Ranch, Enema of the state or take of your pants and jacket.
This album is worth buying and it isn't awful at all but don't be fooled into thinking its like recent blink material, the band have improved loads and loads. The music on the album is of a poor sound quality but the actual songs are good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Immense, Blink at their ultimate best!!! 12 Mar 2002
Format:Audio CD
Having previously read reviews on this CD before purchasing, i wondered what to expect, but..this CD rocks. It is Blink at their very best...fast, loud and cheeky lyrics make this one of the best albums i have purchased. It's not quite as good as Enema of the State or Take of Your Pants and Jacket, but what is? Buy this album now!!!! You won't regret it.
