If you're a Blink fan, then there's no excuse not to have this album. These are the songs that they stuck on a CD with Kung Fu Records that then got recognised by MCA records which followed up with their next 4 albums to date. Although their old drummer, Scott Raynor, seems to want to race to the end of the songs as fast as possible and also lacks the structure ability of Travis Barker. Tom's undeniably awesome guitar solos and Marks cheesey punk rock kids riffs make for a good laugh and it's apparent that they were set to become something big. "Carousel" is probabley the best song on this album were good creativity and structure is concerned, but also songs like, "The girl Next Door", and "Toast and Bananas" are fun to sing along to and are also quite well-written. These songs are examples of how these guys started out, what they were origionally, and if you consider yourself to be a true fan of Blink, you must have this. Not only for the sake of owning it, but also to enjoy these great songs that, I personally, still listen to regularly. BUY IT NOW!

Having read some of the other reviews of this album saying how bad this album is I decided it was time to put the record straight. This is a great album. It is the first Blink album and is equally as good as the the other albums, all of which get five stars from me. As a punk fan I prefer this album to Enema of the state as it has a far more raw feel to it. 'Carousel' and 'Romeo and Rebecca' are two of my particular favourites. Big Blink 182 fans and fans of punk should definately buy this album.

This is the demo album before they were signed. It sounds as you would expect a demo to sound but the remastering is pretty good and it's not terribly lo-fi at all. 7 tracks here appear on their debut, Cheshire Cat. They are all either rather good or good.

Out of the remaining 7 the highlights are only '21 days' and 'The Girl Next Door' (which is a cover anyway). The rest are ok but not particularly inspiring. It is worth checking this out if you are a fan or completist though as it has an exuberance that is missing from the post Dude Ranch era. But as an album, Cheshire Cat is the better option (albeit no masterpiece either).

Good for a look into the early days of a now huge band. Traces of talent do appear but it is still hard to see how these adolescent upstarts managed to raise their game in only a few albums to take the world by storm. But raise they did.

Seriously, it's a wicked album...better than enema of the state by a long way...its loud, raw and classy! Best song would be 'romeo and rebecca'......and any of the songs on here that are also on cheshire cat, these versions are shitloads better. buy it.

So.....I had £10 and was deciding whether to buy "The Urethra Chronicles" or "Buddha" on viynl....I decided to buy Buddha on viynl and I am pleased with my decision,ok..the sound quality isn't excellent but they performed these songs 6 months after they had formed..they werent exactly a well oiled machine at this point. The songs show what was to come and tracks like "Carousel", "Time", "T.V" are some of my favourites. I urge you to buy this album and make your own mind up. Toms signing isnt up to scratch even though this album was digitally re-mastered but at the end of the day..this album is good.

'Blink 182' is one of those groups that are probably known for being good for several tracks; but as in the case for Buddha, are not much of an album band.
It's not that this album is bad, or anything like that, Buddha just doesn't seem to be making a name out of the band with just the same chords, and same song structure; only tracks like Fentoozler, or Romeo and Rebecca, seem to keep the momentum going with sound remotely distinctive.
The combination of generic punk rock, and their forgettable lyrics, makes this the ideal background noise for your average alternative rock party- one of those parties where not much is happening, based on their decision to play this album.

Buddha is the first album of Blink 182. This is a new version, digitally remixed and remastered. Apart from the hit single "Carousel", this album contains the following songs: T.v., Strings, Fentoozler, Time, Romeo & Rebecca, 21 Days, Sometimes, Point of view, My pet Sally, Reebok commercial, Toast & bananas, The girl next door, and Don't. All in all, it is a great cd, proof of Blink's amazing punk rock music in their very beginning. A must have for your collection, whether you are blink 182 fan, or just a punk rock music maniac!

This is what every blink fan should have a copy of Buddha in the CD rack this album is so raw and full of old Blink this is a very good album with stand out tracks which are:

Strings
Fentoozler
Time
Romeo & Rebecca
21 Days
Reebok Commercial
Toast And Bananas

If you are blink fan just because of "All The Small Things" this is not for you but if you a total Blink 182 Fan and have the classic "Cheshire Cat" and "Dude Ranch" this is for you.

This is an album which you got to look at in a Punk Raw Rock side of it and they made this album over 3 raining 3 nights.

Buy It !
