Follow's Bucks Fizz from their 1981 Eurovison triumph through to 2009 .
A 90 minute documentry which has some great interview's and never before seen clip's, including some very rare concert footage from 1983 and 1984.
It is the first time that all five member's (Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan, Jay Aston, Shelley Preston and Bobby G) have discussed the high's and low's of the band's career and also has some great interviews with the people behind the scenes (Andy Hill, Nicola Martin, Jill Shirley, RCA, Tour Managers etc...)
Also includes a bonus DVD which includes The Original Bucks Fizz playing the Hammersmith Odeon and outtakes from the interviews.

This is a must have for any Bucks Fizz fan!

A MUST HAVE!!!!

Bucks Fizz were so uncool in the 1980's yet sold millions of records. The fact is, ABBA also lacked "street cred" when they were at their peak and are now recognised as pop greats. If you look back at what the "real" Bucks Fizz produced in the 1980's there is some wonderful stuff, which years later I can publicly admit to liking; particularly their albums "Are Your Ready" and "I Hear Talk". The vocal harmonies, great songs and overall sound produced by the original members were pretty amazing. I (like many others) bought Bucks Fizz records (secretly) and even went to see them live, but my interest in the group waned after the "soul" of the group disintegrated following the departure of Jay Aston. Although, the three remaining members did their best to maintain the magic, with their new female member (even producing a good album "Writing's On The Wall") they could not recreate their early success. Unfortunately, things turned really sour (we get to hear all about the high's and low's on this DVD), different manifestations of the group appeared and legal challenges about the use of the name followed. To cut a long story short, there is now only one group legally entitled to call itself "Bucks Fizz". With one original member (Bobby G) this group continues to this day. You can even see extracts of this group's performances at various holiday camps on the bonus DVD. The fact is this is really just like a tribute act to the original Bucks Fizz, from what you see on the bonus DVD, this group seems to be a very pale imitation (vocally and visually) of the original/real Bucks Fizz and, in my opinion, seems to have damaged rather than enhanced the Bucks Fizz brand. It does seem misleading for a group to market itself as "Bucks Fizz" when there is only one original member.Read more ›

This is an excellent documentary. I'm not a particular follower of Bucks Fizz, but this shows a side to the group
I had no idea about! Robert Norman Reade clearly got in close and personal with them and got everyone to spill the
beans and dish the dirt. Rock n Roll at its best.

Now this is the Bucks worth spending on, 10 Stars Guys! New Recruits / or trying to be a Pop Star should Take Note: The Ups & Downs..The $$$ Where Is It?? The Cost of been Famous is not that Glamourous..The Fizz Speaks of there Greatest moments Together-on & off stage, & very hectic schedules that don't really pay off this Very Talented Great Group BUCKS FIZZ. 80's was a Neon Era & they used it Well. When I first heard (Making Your Mind Up) I thought of racing cars but not knowing what the image of the band looked like? Saw them on TV But didn't stick with me cos ABBA had the same threads. Some Videos were very funny & I couldn't take anything serious..cos the Girls had ideas that could've made a Better Production/ Singing & Directing then there Makers..as I sensed on this DVD. The Industry Clutted there style & no direction in Step Up Fashion for the Group, which made it imposible for the Foursome to Gel. Great Footage on Live Show's Interviews & the Now: The Original Bucks Fizz Too Good..They Can Still Produce New Material with Funkier Beats, Gutsy Synth Sounds to 0.5db & Still Maintain that FIZZ THEY ONCE HAD.

Having been a fan of Bucks Fizz since they began in 1981, I bought this out of interest more than anything and was very revealing in places.
It was good to see input from all 5 members of the group as well as important people behind the scenes although i thought the groups creator Nichola Martin came across as very arrogant and unlikable.
Some of it features stuff we all knew such as how well the different members got on (or more importantly DIDN'T get on) but it was good to see it from their own perspective and how well they get on now
Such as Jay reuniting with Cheryl & Mike after many years to perform as the OBF following numerous legal wranglings and separate versions of the group running alongside each other
All in all, this is an interesting DVD but would probably only appeal to fans and the second disc of "bonus" material doesn't really offer anything new and is of quite poor sound quality
