A really interesting documentary, that's moving without being in the least sentimental, (Buck has a good line in sarcasm) and appeals to horse people and non-horse people.
Monty Roberts has his admirers, but this man's the real deal.

I found it inspirational.

Buck Brannaman is the real life horse whisperer. I'm not an equestrian fan per se but I loved this film title. I was just amazed by Buck's life story and how he could affect not only the horses that he treated but the people that owned them.

I first started getting interested in Buck Brannaman's work when I saw the name at the end of the film the Horse Whisperer, directed by Robert Redford and stared Christin scott Thomas and Scarlet Yohansen, this guy was the advisor and the stand in double for Robert Redford. Buck travels all around the world doing clinics on all aspects of horse ownership and horsemanship. The film is about Bucks life from being abused by his father as a child to becoming probably the authority on training and helping troubled horses and their owners to understand them better. The film is exquisitely shot and the hour and half goes by very quickly, this film being out in America for the last couple of years has had rave reviews on how this master of his trade looks into the souls of these animals. A thought provoking film that leaves you wanting to know more. weather into horses or not this is a must see.

Buck is an inspirational man, and this documentary is an insightful look at the horseman and his life, as well as his treatments and clinics. We see Buck draw on the negative experiences of his own childhood and use these as conducive to soothing the clearly troubled mentality of the horses and their owners. His lasso tricks are something to behold as well. Definitely recommend this one, and not just for horse lovers.

What a story, what a life, what a man. This dvd is so interesting, you not only learn about Buck but also about yourself and how your upbringing effects you as a person and can shape your life in a positive or a negative way.It was fascinating to watch Buck working with the horses and also with their owners!!! This dvd would not only appeal to horse lovers but anyone who is interested in human nature and psychology too. It had a good balance of seriousness and humour and i absolutely loved it.

I recommend this film as a "must see." Whether you like cowboys and horses or not, you will like the message of this film. Buck Brannaman the focus of this impressive doc is truly an inspiration who uses communication with horses a cathartic means following the harsh treatment his dad gave to him as a child

I really enjoyed watching Buck and his relationship with horses and admire him for the way in which he tries to help people through horses whilst at the same time educate many, helping them to see horses in a new light and hopefully treat them better in the future. A loving relationship between a human and a horse - it's one of the most beautiful relationships you will ever have. Horses are intelligent and so loyal. We owe them better treatment and much more respect than they are given by some.

Really enjoyed the film though there was not enough of it, we'd have liked more depth. If you like it you would love to see Steve Halfpenny. A very enjoyable DVD for those of us with a love of horses.
