I've always enjoyed Ms Rice's stories and here we have two in a great deal.
The first story deals with a female lifeguard who rescues a surfer in Cornwall in October. Our heroine is a feisty independent girl who also works as a waitress at the local cafe. The hero is a brooding alpha who's been injured and left with a limp which has also affected his libido. Our heroine re-ignites his libido and he strikes whilst the iron is hot and the sex scenes are definitely hot! This is a great rollicking read by Ms Rice which deals with the potentially tricky issue of erectile disfunction and is very well handled, if you pardon the pun.
The second story deals with the heroine's brother from the first tale who is a barrister who does not believe in love or marriage. When he rams his sports car into another vehicle, enter our cupcake heroine and it all kicks off. I love linked stories and we meet the protagonists from the first story a few years down the road and the great thing is that Ms Rice incorporates all the characters really well in this tale.
Thoroughly enjoyed both books which are fast paced, funny and smart and can highly recommend this read.
