Product Description

The Brunswick BU4T is a well made instrument at a very pocket friendly price. To get a tenor ukulele for under 70 that plays as well as this and is fitted with Aquila strings is truly amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful tone 3 July 2011
I asked the assistant in my local music shop to give me a blind sound test of their ukuleles.
This was my favourite, even better than solid-tops costing four times as much.
Couple this with excellent build quality and easy playing right up to the 14th fret and its a winner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice... 8 Mar 2011

The ukulele is of solid structure and Aquila strings are nicely fitted.. I also like that it has proper metal machine heads (tuning heads) which always leaves a good first impression... Has a nice loud sound to it, so I'm pretty happy with it. For the price I think it's good value for a tenor ukulele, so, yeah - recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars First Class 17 Dec 2011

Delighted with this ukulele. Good quality instrument, great sound, and excellent service from Omega Music.
Unless you are willing to pay over 100 you aren't likely to find a better quality tenor uke.

5.0 out of 5 stars Instant Favourite 14 Feb 2013
Verified Purchase
This is my third uke, but my first tenor and it has instantly become my favourite. It looks the business , the finish is great and the set up is spot on for me. Came untuned but has quickly settled in,(the benefit of quality strings). .
Ideal if like me you are sticking with the ukulele and want to move up in quality but can't afford a high end pricetag.
Sound quality is rich and round, no tinniness, sounds clear all the way up the neck, even the harmonics are clear as a bell.
For the price, i think you'd struggle to find a better sounding instrument. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely tone 18 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase
I researched for a long time before purchasing this uke. I did not want to go too expensive in case I couldn't get on ,as this was my first ukulele. I have acoustic guitar and bass. I was surprised how light the ukulele is, but this turns out to be a bonus, as you can easily hold it in place for long periods. The tone is lovely and mellow, just as tenor should be. I have since restrung and retuned it to a low G to further enhance the sound. Great also for larger fingers, as the frets board provides more room than the soprano ukes.

Officially I haven't seen it or touched it, or played it. Have to wait for the big feller to bring it on Christmas Day. Unofficially, its great, it has the most wonderful mellow sound, it is light and a delight to play. Would recommend it anyone looking to buy a Ukulele.

4.0 out of 5 stars good starter for money 11 Mar 2014

A very good starter instument. Nice tone and once strings have settled holds tuning well. However one thing people should be aware of is that this is not a "solid mahogany" instument, but mahogany vanere. Discription could be seem as misleading on this aspect. Although mine came well wrapped and with no damage to the packaging, there was a substancial xhip in the mahogany vanere on the front bottom edge of the sound box which would make me believe that this was already there before transit. Overall however - good instument for price

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price 29 Mar 2013
I bought this for my husband who started on a cheap ukulele. This one has a much better tone and the bigger neck on the tenor suits him better. It's not the quality of a professional instrument, but excellent for the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Brunswick Tenor Ukulele.
Do not buy instrument with the above strings. As for the instrument, get yourself an older one second hand. It will
sound far better. that's what I've done.
