Product Description

Product Description

A compilation video of ten vintage road-worthy adventures from the superhero brummie car with headlamps for eyes and a crank-shaft for a tongue. They include 'Seaside', 'Rescue', 'Opera' and 'Wheels'.

From Amazon.co.uk

Quietly tucked away in a car-collection garage, Brum is only conspicuous by his size. When the owner turns his back at the start of the day however, Brum blazes into action; ready to fight crime and do good deeds in the "big town". TV has tried lots of ideas with cars that think for themselves, but never managed to convey the charm that this series offers. Whether it's thwarting the escape of some naughty bank robbers, or saving a newlywed bride who inadvertently steps on a runaway skateboard, the little car with the big heart is always the perfect gentleman. Each episode sets up a crime to solve or dilemma to resolve, and by way of handy ramps and elevators, Brum is cheerily applauded and waved at by the town's residents. Every so often there's an outburst of song that will unite good guys and bad guys alike, and then there's always the sing-along at the end to look forward to. Warning to parents: expect a look of abject disappointment on the face of the tot who discovers their toy cars won't do any of the tricks on TV. --Paul Tonks --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Just like the previous Brum video's, this is an ideal way to spend 10-20 minutes doing something you need to do (like showering, going to the loo etc), whilst the little one(s) puts his/her feet up and enjoys a couple of episodes of their favourite superhero. Works every time in our house.
The five adventures featured in this video include, a football match, an out of control plate with wheels, a lesson on 'why not to let your dog near your mobile', what can happened to greedy kids, and finally watch out for baddies wearing Baywatch outfit at swimming pools. All excellently acted by the normal cast.
They are all good fun and something all children between 2 and 9 will enjoy. Will even make mum and dad laugh and that's not a bad thing after watching it for the tenth time!

A wonderful selection of short films featuring the ever resourceful Brum. They seem to appeal to the kids because of the feeling of escaping into the big wide world for an adventure. Things happen fast and there is always a chase. The films are tempered with a strong moral theme of good against bad but hopefully the vigilante methods of Brum (and the inept nature of the police) are lost on the youngsters. Adults will enjoy the music and some unintentional comic moments (look out for a portly dancer in green overalls during the dance sequence that happens at the end of each film) and the kids will be riveted to the screen. By the way, congratulations to whomever built Brum himself.

This is a great video for the little ones, it has loads of fun and excitment but also gives some good lessons on whats good and whats baaaad. There is always a moral to the stories and brum is great, although he does tend to fly about on the pavements!! Naughty Brum, lol. My son would watch this every day if I let him but theres only so much Brum Brum one can take isn't there. Great for those rainy days.....

Watch Brum retrieving a statue of a very haughty looking mayoress, helping a bride on a scateboard and catching lots of very shifty looking crooks. My one year old son can't tear himself away from this beautifully made set of five stories and even jigs along with the dance sequence at the end of each episode. The whole production is very stylish and contains loads of visual jokes to appeal to parents as well as kids. Very highly recommended (even after watching at 25 times this week!)

Brum comes to life again in these enchanting stories, involving 3 different adventures. My 2 children, aged 2 and 6, both enjoy these Brum stories over and over again. I have been known myself to watch with them!
We particularly enjoyed the Helicopter one!
Young children in particular will enjoy Brum's adventures and he always returns to the garage safe and sound. We then guess what will be left in the car each time!
