I had been invited on a mini cruise to Bruge and wanted a decent guidebook. This one appealed to me because unlike many other guidebooks available it focused soley on Bruge. Many others will include Brussel's, Ghent and even Amsterdam with just a couple of pages dedicated to Bruge. This guidebook is split into the usual sections you'd expect, such as things to do and places to see. There is also an interesting section on the history of Bruge. The most useful thing in this book however is the city map in the back of the book as it really helped us plan our day in Bruge to maximum effect.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants a book which just deals with Bruge and no other place.

If you are going to Brugge for 2-3 days then you need a guide that gives you enough info, with maps, to maximaise your time. This guide did exactly that. I like the way the town was split into zones so that you can plan each day. Everything is within walking distance.

I have read this book about Bruges.Though I could not yet been able to visit Bruges,I appreaciated the book very well prepared.Pictures are good, maps seem good.Travel info/hotels,restaurants so on seem very satisfactory.Beside it gives history and some nice stories about Bruges.I recommend the book.I'm very pleased that I have.

Good but perhaps a little too brief.
A good basic guide book but felt there were aspects missing. Self-guided walks with acompanying maps would have been good (we used ones downloaded from tourist office).

I was disappointed in this guide. The map was poor, and the information far too sketchy and many of the restaurant guides etc were well out of date. Read more

Useful guide, packed full of facts and tips
Excellent guide. All you need for a weekend in Bruges - well that and plenty of cash. The town has gotten very expensive, more so than the guide would suggest.
