This book really didn't contain enough information about where to eat, how much things cost (like carriage rides etc), places to stay, in fact most of the things that Rough Guides and Lonely Planet seem to cover as a matter of course. Also, the book isn't entirely about Bruges as promised, it also had information about Ghent.
This book's only redeeming feature was that it had a lot of info on suggested walks around the city, the history of the city, and what to look at whilst in Bruges, so if that is all you are interested in then this is probably the book for you; but if you want to know which restaurants to avoid, where you can get cheap coffee during the day, the best waffles to eat as you wander around and really feel like you're getting to know the city, buy a different book.
