Just received this truck in the mail from Amazon, packed nicely, via UPS. Immediatly checked the parts that other reviewers stated as received broken and the one I received looks to be in tack without any broken parts. I moved the red collection arms that pick-up the trash cans and they are fine. I turned the back side knob that moves the packing panel and trash to the inner compartment and had no problem with that either. Only rated 4 stars since it has not yet been played with by my son as this will be his Christmas present. I will have to wait then to see how durable the parts really are and will update my review later. He currently has the Bruder Garbage Man Side Loader and Loves It! We have had that truck for one month now without any problems.
**UPDATE(12/3/2011)-I finally took it out of the box for an overall test before I wrap it up. Video upload shows the Truck I received does infact work.

The collection arm, the thing that makes the whole thing possible, is poorly designed. I purchased one which arrived broken. I've heard of many others having the same issue and/or the same piece breaks 1-2 weeks. It is a beautiful truck otherwise. Wish it would have worked out. In the end, we bought another truck for $30 and it is a winner!

THE TRUCK ARRIVED IN GREAT CONDITION. PURCHASED FOR OUR 3.5 YEAR OLD GRANDSON FOR CHRISTMAS. THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THE PARTS, IT WORKED AS DESCRIBED. HE USED CROSS CUT SHREDDED PAPER FOR THE GARBAGE WHICH WORKED PERFECTLY, HOWEVER, I WOULD RECOMMEND USING THE NORMAL CUT SHREDDED PAPER. THE CROSS CUT CLINGS TO CLOTHING MORE THAN THE LONGER SHREDS. I GAVE 5 STARS FOR EDUCATIONAL VALUE BECAUSE OF THE CREATIVE PLAY IT OFFERS DUE TO ITS OPERATION JUST LIKE A REAL GARBAGE TRUCK. MY 4 STAR RATING FOR DURABILITY IS BASED ON BEING UNSURE OF HOW EACH CHILD WILL ROLE PLAY WITH THE TRUCK. IF YOUR CHILD PLAYS ROUGH WITH THEIR TOYS/BANGING THEM AROUND A LOT, BECAUSE OF THE REALISTIC DETAILING ON THE TRUCK, SOME PARTS MIGHT CRACK OR BREAK OFF. I TRIED TO CHANGE THE 3 STAR TO 4 STAR FOR DURABILITY AND IT WOULD NOT UPDATE. OUR GRANDSON LOVES THIS TRUCK AND SPENDS HOURS PLAYING WITH IT. I ALSO ORDERED A BRUDER FIGURE THAT IS MADE TO FIT INSIDE THE TRUCK AS WELL AS STAND ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TRUCK. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND SELLER.
