Bought as a gift for a 4yr old who was delighted but became frustrated when we discovered that this log trailer does not fit the logging truck - it seems to be intended as a trailer for a tractor. Unfortunately this is not clear on the box or in the advertising.

My son loves the trailer. But beware, this Timber Trailer does not hook to the MAN Timber Truck. I ended up using a 2" bolt and nut to try and devise a way to hook them together. It seemed awfully strange that the same company's Timber Truck and Timber Trailer do not go together. When I sent a complaint to the company, here is their reply:

You are correct, the timber trailer does not hook up to the timber truck. The timber trailer (and most of the other trailers as well) hook up to the Jeeps, Mercedes Benzs Unimogs and Sprinters, and all of the tractors. There is no adapter to make the larger vehicles (MAN, MACK, Mercedes Benz) hook up to the smaller trailers. If you have a Bruder catalog, please refer to the letters in red circles next to all the products, this tells you which accessories (trailers and such) will work with which trucks.

I'm giving this trailer a 5 overall if you buy it as an accessory for one of the Bruder trucks, but only if you also order the hitch adapter from Bruder. Bruder now makes an adapter set that will allow all Bruder vehicles to work with all trailers. It is available on the Bruder spare part website [...] and is part number 45008.
The other issue I had was you really need more than 3 logs on each vehicle, so order the 5 log set from Amazon for $8.OO when you buy this trailer. It really adds to the fun.
