I've purchased the last several Bruce Springsteen official calendars over the years, and I have to say, this might be the best one yet. Last year's calendar was great and featured photos from the Working on a Dream tour, but since the band hasn't toured of late, and probably connected to last year's Darkness reissue, the 2012 calendar features stunning black-and-white Darkness-era photos from Frank Stefanko and Eric Meola. Both of these photographers have taken some of the most iconic images of Bruce and the band (along with album covers). Many of the images will be pretty familiar to Bruce fans, such as the late-nite Shell station shots and the famous shot of Bruce on the Corvette with the snow around, as well as some great band photos from this prime era. The images look about as crisp as I've ever seen them, and the calendar is nice sized so it'll look great on my office bulletin board (plus it's printed on quality stock). No hesitation to recommend this to Bruce fans (or, those who might be looking for a great gift for the Bruce fan in their life).
