5.0 out of 5 stars BRUCE LEE uncovered with integrity 11 Jun 2007
By sunofja
This is an amazing DVD because you get a real sense of Bruce from his so called 'lost' interviews on radio & TV - these interviews reveal much more about the man than i expected because his extrovert character and passion for martial arts really comes through alongside his candid admission to being a bad tempered person who is not a saint and how he has tried to deal with allot of his demons and act as a bridge between the east and west at a time when racial barriers were seemingly impassable. His raw emotion and humanity instantly grab you - thus his skill as a performer is to demand your total empathy as a human being - although he is an outstanding athelete and performer it is his emotional instensity and fearless self analysis that makes him such so watchable. I was a big before this DVD of his films but after watching this I am also more understanding of his troubles and vulnerabilities - strengths and true talents. Its not the most slickly produced video but that is why all students of bruce lle should watch this - his teacher gives an amazing essay on kung-fu as a fighting form and breaks down the myth from the reality of bruce lee the man, performer and the student. Amazing...

4.0 out of 5 stars A private seminar with the master 4 April 2011
Bruce Lee the lost interviews is as close as you can get with the master. This dvd shows full version of the pierre burton show in 71 and it's very interesting. The quality of this dvd is good and they did a good job on remastering this interview. The extra's on this dvd are also worth your time, they include very rare audio interviews and a interesting interview with master William Chung. If you are a collector of Bruce Lee you should definitly get this dvd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, but where's Coburn? 2 Jan 2013
This DVD is a must-have for all martial arts fans & practitioners, & it is quite simply one of the greatest & most insightful interviews of a human being ever conducted.
The real shame of this DVD, however, is the inexplicable omission of the lengthy & fascinating interview with the actor James Coburn that accompanied the original VHS version of this Bruce Lee DVD release. Coburn was, of course, a close friend & student of Bruce Lee & was, like Lee, a man of considerable charisma & wisdom, & to listen to him reminisce about his time with Bruce, the training methods that Bruce used & the influence that Bruce had on his life is both essential & compulsive viewing, & is infinitely more interesting than most of the new extras accompanying this DVD.
Should this DVD ever be re-released, it MUST include the Coburn interview. It is incomplete without it.
