5.0 out of 5 stars The story is told by the only person who can: Mrs. Lee., 28 Nov 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: The Bruce Lee Story (Paperback)
A must for any martial artist who professes to be a Bruce Lee enthusiast. This book was also used for the script of "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story", but trust me when I tell you that that movie barely touches on the true story. Mrs. Lee's interpretation of her husband should dispell all myths of the legendary martial artist/philosopher/action star. Here, Bruce Lee is shown as the man he truly is. Don't rely on hearsay; find out about the real Bruce Lee and his thoughts in this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great primer on Bruce Lee, 4 May 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Bruce Lee Story (Paperback)
I wish this book could have been longer and more in-depth, but I still enjoyed it immensely, primarily for the countless pictures from the Lee family albums. Fans who are hungry for sordid details about Lee's mysterious death may be disappointed, as this was not meant to be a controversial or sensationalistic book. It's simply Linda Lee's tribute to her late husband, a man who was extraordinarily gifted in disciplines of both the body and mind. That, in and of itself, makes this a worthwhile read.

4.0 out of 5 stars A tribute to a brilliant man, 8 Mar 2004

This review is from: The Bruce Lee Story (Paperback)
This book is written from the heart, you can see Linda's love for Bruce shine through. It may at times be a little biased but tells the truth from Linda's eyes. I decided to read this after seeing the film and being told it was exaggerated, and if this book is right it was. But it is a wonderful story of a great man who worked hard to build a name for himself but didn't live to see it. Bruce brought so much to this world and that was all he wanted to bring Jeet Kune do to the world and with Linda's help he has.
