The first thing I noticed about this racket was exactly how HEAVY it is. Based on other reviews I expected it to be a 'feather light' racket. It definitely wasn't - it was about as heavy as my old £6 carlton 3500.
I am a regular intermediate player who plays around 3x a week and I was hoping this racket would improve my performance, particularly my smashes and hitting harder and farther with my backhand. Having used it for a couple of weeks I have found it has had little impact on improving my performance.
On the plus side, I didn't have the problems that other people had with control and the heaviness centred on the head of the racket. I have been able to get on with my normal game straight off, which involves a lot of delicate drop shots etc., without the need of getting used to the racket.
Overall, this is not a bad racket - its just not that much better than my much cheaper old racket. I think the over-hyped reviews lead to an overly high expectation. Hopefully this review will balance that somewhat.
