This is a stunning new wildlife book. It is packed with original photographs of the brown hare and its Derbyshire habitat and has fascinating information. It is beautifully written and reads as a lyrical plea for the need for biodiversity and for farming practices which support native species. There are also thought-provoking extracts from inverviews with farmers trying to balance making a living with respect for native habitats. All profits from the book are being donated to the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. This is an ideal purchase for anyone who loves our native countryside and its wildlfie.

Beautiful book 2 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback
A lovely book interspersed with interesting facts about hares, Derbyshire, biodiversity and farming. It's a book you can dip into for the beautiful images or to learn more about hares. The photographs are riveting and the book is well worth buying for those alone.

The photography is gorgeous and alone would make this a worthwhile purchase. The factual detail about the brown hare and the biodiversity issues discussed make this a serious text worth owning for reference.
